Why do I Paint?
For me the act of painting is like a manifesto, a struggle instrument by its very nature, beyond any party or politics. Painting is not an end in itself but it is the exposure of everything mutilating human being in its individual and preventing it from its fulfillement in our society: this exposure is a source of hope and confidence.
I use painting to show my angst for this is the only way I found to express it. But it is obvious that this way is poor and selfish. It is a fact that the painting is a unique copy, an object sold and destinated to privileged few.
Vicious circle, because the artist’s work is depending on its sale. Object of financial gambling, the art work is accepted or rejected, depending on the prevailing opinions.
But there is no choice and despite this crucial paradox, struggling is the only possible way. Indeed, in a future world, subjugated by robots and male bureaucrat, when art will no longer have any meaning, every shout of revolt will be stifled in the great silence.
